Saving Sacred Places

Do you have a ‘Sacred place’ for you?
When ‘Sacred Places’ are mentioned, probably the places that come to mind are the grand Cathedrals of Europe, with their superbly carved wood and stonework,
light streaming through the stained glass windows, religious pictures on the walls, and steeples competing in height for closeness to heaven. In fact, there were places that were sacred to our ancestors in various parts of the world, millenia before the Cathedrals were built. For example, the great stone henges of Europe, constructed around 4000 years ago were probably places of ritual practices based on the position of the sun at the solstices, and seem to have been used for this purpose before the standing stones were actually erected.
