SUMMARY:Launching the 125th Anniversary of the Diocese of Wangaratta
DESCRIPTION:Come along to Holy Trinity Cathedral\, Wangaratta\, on Saturday 3 October 2026 from 9.30am to 3.00pm as we launch a year of celebrations marking the 125th anniversary of the Diocese of Wangaratta. With the theme Faith in Action for 125 Years\, this special community day will celebrate the story of the Diocese\, the people and places that have shaped it\, and the communities it has served for more than a century. \nThere will be something for everyone\, with music\, Cathedral tours\, blessings of animals and plants\, a sausage sizzle (with the first 125 sausages free!) and plenty of food\, goods\, soft drinks and water available throughout the day. Each parish will also host its own market stall\, raising funds for the Bishop’s Home Mission Fund\, so be sure to come and see what’s on offer. This is a celebration for the whole community\, and everyone is warmly welcome – whether you come for the history\, the music\, the market stalls\, a blessing for your four-legged friend\, or simply a snag and a chat. Bring the family\, bring the dog\, and help us get a year of celebrations off to a truly sizzling start – 125 years in the making!
